In this project, I have designed a 10-pieces knit collection for the world-famous fashion fair Premiére Vision in Paris. The 10 designs are inspired by the trend Homespun S/S 21 from WGSN.

Première Vision

2020

With a foundation in a simple lifestyle, the trend Homespun S/S 21, focuses on designs that changes over time and have a long lifespan. The trend uses soft materials, an organic design language and describes a minimalistic style full of life and details.

I have designed a knitted spring/summer textile collection for the Scandinavian market. The collection is made for quality conscious women, who shop high-end products and appreciates a simple style that can last for several seasons. I have chosen to work with a uniform, tactile and textured expression, based on front and rear stiches as well as floats, to create level differences in the surface.

Based on the trend, I have chosen to work with a high quality of natural fibers. (Silk, linen, paper, wool, viscose and cotton). My color palette consists mainly natural colors, so the colors do not appear untrendy next season, and you want to keep the product for a longer time.

Different textures create a diversity in the collection and the cohesion appears in the use of materials and colors, which also supports the mood of life and a warm glow.

All designs were presented at the fashion fair Première Vision Paris from 11-13th of February 2020.
