In my work with textile design, I often start by using analogue techniques. It can be painting, drawing, crosshatching, photography, print, etc. That way I get elements I process in Photoshop or Illustrator to create patterns. I feel like it gives a kind of presence to my designs, an illusion of craft and handmade, although its often digitalized and ready for production. I love working with different materials, as I think the contrasts in the textures are very exciting.
