Wall hangers are very popular at the moment, and I like the idea of looking at textiles as a piece of art. I also like to add a function to the fabric.
In this project I made a frame of brass where I attached yarn for weaving. With different thicknesses of wool yarn, some copper ribbons and a light chain, I weaved together a fabric that shines on the back and thus into the frame. This created a kind of light box that can be used as a wall lamp.
